Foot Pain

Millions of people suffer everyday with foot pain. In fact, according to the American Podiatric Medical Association, nearly 75% of the population will experience foot pain, sometimes debilitating, in their lifetimes.

There are many ways these foot pain sufferers will attempt to resolve their foot problems. The first step for many is trying different varieties of shoe inserts. While these inserts or custom orthotics are important, and can sometimes provide relief, much of the time they simply act as a band-aid to support the foot and provide a cushion.

So, if inserts and orthotics do not provide the long-term relief, then what is the solution? Injections and medications might help address the symptomatology but will generally not fix the problem either. Surgery is an option, but it is not always effective and comes with numerous risks. So, what is the best solution?

Most foot pain is related to an abnormality in the alignment of the 26 small bones that make up the foot. So, the best solution is one that directly addresses and corrects the foot bone misalignments.

Hand Pain

We use our hands in so many ways daily. Activities such as gripping, pulling, pushing, pinching and twisting are just a few of the movements our hands are capable of. Our hands and wrists consist of 27 small bones that are held together by tiny ligaments and tendons and are controlled by a series of small to medium sized muscles. Many of the movements described above are repetitive and when they are performed with the hands in a biomechanically incorrect position, they can become compromised, weakened and eventually injured. These unnatural movements can also cause the hand’s tiny bones to become misaligned causing irritation and stress to muscles, tendons, joints, ligaments and nerves. This often results in the loss of healthy hand and wrist function.

Common symptoms of an unhealthy hand or wrist can include pain, numbness, tingling, burning or loss of grip strength. There can be many causes of these hand and wrist symptoms, but most of the time the cause is related to a mechanical dysfunction or small misalignment of one or more of the 27 bones that make up the hand and wrist.

The best solution to restoring a healthy alignment to the hands and wrists is accomplished by a specific, gentle joint manipulation procedure by a Chiropractic Hand & Foot Clinics of America (CHFA) trained doctor. This hand and wrist adjustment performed by Dr. Bret, who is trained and endorsed by CHFA, will provide hand and wrist pain sufferers with these specific, gentle adjustments to the misaligned bones thereby helping to restore function and to provide relief. And because we work on improving and restoring the alignment to these hand and wrist bones, it is truly getting to the root cause of the underlying problem.
